  Osmathus fragrans is the hedge in the background of above photo (in foreground is Pittosporum tobira). Evergreen shrub to small tree, up to 12' in height. Leaves have bronzy highlights, are oppositely arranged and oblong to lanceolate, leathery, entire of finely serrated, glossy and dark green, up to 5" long. Fragrant tubular white flowers. Maintain informally. Works as hedge. Deer proof.
