| From North America. Moderate to fast growing deciduous vine/groundcover. Vine height and spread 50';
groundcover height 2' and spread 30'. Medium green 6 to 10" long leaves, serrate and elliptic. Fall foliage coloration
can range from orange to red. Insignificant tiny flowers. Blue to black 1/8" berries in summer, attracts birds. Prefers full sun to part shade, does well with no irrigation to high amounts of irrigation. Likes neutral, loam and sandy soil. Tolerates drough, heat, poor soil, salt air and wind. Propagate by cuttings. Thin and head back. Vine will stump sprout if pruned severly; it also tolerates clipping. Uses: erosion control, on the seacoast, as a groundcover, screen or wall cover.
