  Text refers to Citrus limon (Lemon): From Burma. Moderate growth evergreen tree. Design height is 12', mature height is 20'. Design spread is 8', mature spread is 20'. Dark green 2 to 4" leaves, compound trifoliate/alternately arranged, crenate. White (purplish black) 2" flowers, axillary cymes, January through May.

2 to 6" berry fruit in fall and winter, green when immature and yellow to orange when mature - though can bloom and fruit sporadically throughout year. Prefers full sun (will fruit much better in full sun), high moderate water, loam and sandy soil. Tolerates heat. Insects and diseases are numerous but of minor importance; also subject to sunburn, litter, frost and has thorns. Propagate by seed, grafting, or budding. Thin to remove twiggy growth, weak branches, to prevent included bark (?), water sprouts profusely.

Use as a screen, shade tree, for edible landscape, in a container, or indoors. Many cultivars.
