  From Australia. Slow to moderate growth evergreen tree, design height is 25' and mature height is 40'. Design spread 20', mature spread 30'. Simple alternately arranged dark green 3-7" long by 2-3" wide leaves, entire/undulate and lanceolate/ovate.

Rose red 1" flowers in panicles, in July and August with intermittent blooms in May, June, September and October. Green/brown 1-2" capsule fruits, in fall.

Likes full sun, moderate to light water, loam; tolerates drought, heat, poor soil, salt air and wind. Subject to thrips. Propagate by budding, grafting and seed. Little pruning required. Good multi-trunked tree. Remove suckers.

Use as a screen, as a specimen or street tree, or as a windbreak.
