| From North America. Moderate to fast growing deciduous tree. Design height is 60', mature height up to 150'. Alternate 3 to 7" long medium green leaves, toothed and palmately lobed. Yellowish green flowers in panicles, in spring. 3/4" to 1" green to brown round fruit, in capsules, summer to winter. Prefers full sun, deep water; fertile, well-drained, neutral and acid soil. Drought tolerant where established. Resistant to oak root fungus. Propagate by cutting. Pruning: thin, don't top. Use as a street tree, in a grove, or as an accent.
