From SW Australia. Moderate growth evergreen plant. Design height is 4', design spread is 2'.
Mature height 3 to 10'; mature spread is 2 1/2'. 14 to 39" olive green leaves. Flowers are at end of 5' branching stems; orange, yellow or red, fuzzy 1 to 1 1/2" long in late spring to fall. Capsule fruit.
Hardiness: 41 degrees F. Prefers full sun, little to no water in winter, moderate in summer. Light sandy soil, well drained. Tolerates shade. Subject to bacterial, fungal leaf spot. Propagate by dividing roots in spring. Prune by deadheading old leaves late in the year.
Use as a specimen in border or background. Good choice to give height and color without density.
