From Australia. Moderate growth evergreen tree. Design height is 50', design spread is 20'. Mature
height is 100', mature spread is 40'. 3/8" long awl-like whorled needles, medium green, entire and linear. Inconspicuous
flowers, 6" cones, green when immature and brown when mature. Leaves grow inward. Has spiralling branches.
Hardy to 20 degrees F. Prefers full to part sun, lots of water, clay and loam. Tolerates heat, poor soil, salt air and wind. Subject to deer and verticillium, as well as sooty mold. Propagate by cutting and seeds. Little pruning required, keep
central leader.
Use as an accent, in a container, indoors, on the seacoast, specimen, for tropical effect. Low maintenance.
