Leaves (like C. sericea) are oppositely arranged. Arcuite veination. After blooms fade, boss remains (in photo on right). This structure is much tighter on C. florida than C. sericea, which has a much more open structure. Difficult to establish, needs good drainage, and does best at higher elevations.
