Design height is 3', mature height is 6'. Evergreen shrub, slow to moderate growth. Simple leaves oppositely
arranged, leaves are 1/2 to 1" long, 1/2" wide. Yellow-green obovate. Yellow-green flowers in March and April. Likes full to part sun,
high to moderate water, loam and sand. Tolerates heat and poor soil. Tolerates clipping.
Leaves have shinier finish, and plant is shorter than Buxus sempervirens.
Use as border, clipped hedge, container plant, edging, foundation, informal hedge, topiary. Minimum hedge height should be 1'. OK to use as small formal hedges in shade. |
